  • CommsConsultants.com (CC) is a global talent marketplace for business leaders to find trusted contract support. Behind the scenes, CC is also a supportive private community for independent professionals. You can learn more about exactly what we offer to our members by scrolling through this page.

  • We’re not a personal lead generation service, and we won’t personally match you to a client. Firms that claim to do that will either have you work under their umbrella and pay you a pittance, take a significant cut of your fees, or they’ll charge you fees in excess of $1000 a month. We don’t do any of that.

    We hear from clients about their needs and we post those needs to the community for review. You’ll have access to all of them, and if you’re qualified you’re welcome to apply for them.

    The benefit for you is that you’re getting access to exclusive opps that aren’t being posted to the open market, and you’re “competing” with a much, much smaller talent pool than you would if they were publicly available. Client opportunities at CC typically get 10-15 applicants each.

    We can’t make guarantees but here’s what we can say:

    Over the course of 1-2 years of membership, assuming you’re active in the community with applying to opps, networking, and sharing value with fellow members, your chances of securing an opportunity are excellent.

  • Since we launched this platform in September 2024, we’ve had such a wide range of client requests it would be impossible to predict what might come in next. We’ve heard from Fortune 50 brands, tiny startups and everyone in between. We’ve seen opportunities shared in every imaginable industry, and across many different specialties.

    We can’t guarantee a client will come in for your exact specialty, and we can’t guarantee they’ll choose you for their project if they do. Joining CC requires a bit of risk, and our happiest members join for the skill-building opportunities and connection (not just to secure a fast client).

  • This is a personally curated, AI-free safe space for people who are serious about launching, building and sustaining independent businesses. At CC you’ll find a level of connection, insight, development and opportunity that you cannot find on free, publicly available platforms. Our founder - a longtime comms pro and independent consultant - personally manages the community daily to ensure the highest possible value for members.

  • We’re always seeking professionals with at least 3 years of work experience in communications, PR, marketing or creative services. You do NOT need to have consulting experience to join us, and you do NOT need to be a full-time consultant.

  • Our founder Ashley LOVES talking to consultants. But these days, her bandwidth is extremely limited - and her full focus is on talking with clients and getting them to tap into the network.

  • We don’t make any guarantees, and ultimately your success within CC is down to you. How you show up, how you engage with others in the community, how you offer to collaborate, how you pitch clients, how robustly you access and apply our resources and guidance, how you present your services to CC and to the world, and how you give back. Yes, the rumors are true - sometimes clients come directly to CommsConsultants.

It’s not every day, but when they do come in - they’re exclusive to our network. These are not publicly-available opportunities anyone could spot on a job board. These are business leaders and business owners seeking what only CC can provide - a short list of trusted and pre-vetted professionals.

  • At the moment, we receive and share approximately 7-10 exclusive client leads a month. The asks range broadly across levels, specialties, industries, and global locations. Typical rates fall between $100-$200 USD per hour. Each opportunity is posted for all members to review.

  • In addition to the 7-10 clients that come straight to CC, our members also share their own opportunities within the network (typically around 15-20 per month).

  • Our numbers are growing constantly. For example, in April 2025 we had 19 opportunities listed in our community hub. In May 2026, we had 33. Our client list continues to grow as we gain greater awareness worldwide.

  • Last but not least, as a member of CC you’re automatically considered for specialized searches and contract staffing opportunities through our sister business, Contract Comms.

  • CommsConsultants.com (CC) is a global talent marketplace for business leaders to find trusted contract support. Behind the scenes, CC is also a supportive private community for independent professionals. You can learn more about exactly what we offer to our members by scrolling through this page.

  • We’re not a personal lead generation service, and we won’t personally match you to a client. Firms that claim to do that will either have you work under their umbrella and pay you a pittance, take a significant cut of your fees, or they’ll charge you fees in excess of $1000 a month. We don’t do any of that.

    We hear from clients about their needs and we post those needs to the community for review. You’ll have access to all of them, and if you’re qualified you’re welcome to apply for them.

    The benefit for you is that you’re getting access to exclusive opps that aren’t being posted to the open market, and you’re “competing” with a much, much smaller talent pool than you would if they were publicly available. Client opportunities at CC typically get 10-15 applicants each.

    We can’t make guarantees but here’s what we can say:

    Over the course of 1-2 years of membership, assuming you’re active in the community with applying to opps, networking, and sharing value with fellow members, your chances of securing an opportunity are excellent.

  • Since we launched this platform in September 2024, we’ve had such a wide range of client requests it would be impossible to predict what might come in next. We’ve heard from Fortune 50 brands, tiny startups and everyone in between. We’ve seen opportunities shared in every imaginable industry, and across many different specialties.

    We can’t guarantee a client will come in for your exact specialty, and we can’t guarantee they’ll choose you for their project if they do. Joining CC requires a bit of risk, and our happiest members join for the skill-building opportunities and connection (not just to secure a fast client).

  • This is a personally curated, AI-free safe space for people who are serious about launching, building and sustaining independent businesses. At CC you’ll find a level of connection, insight, development and opportunity that you cannot find on free, publicly available platforms. Our founder - a longtime comms pro and independent consultant - personally manages the community daily to ensure the highest possible value for members.

  • We’re always seeking professionals with at least 3 years of work experience in communications, PR, marketing or creative services. You do NOT need to have consulting experience to join us, and you do NOT need to be a full-time consultant.

  • Our founder Ashley LOVES talking to consultants. But these days, her bandwidth is extremely limited - and her full focus is on talking with clients and getting them to tap into the network.

  • We have members in more than a dozen countries, and we’re growing our footprint all the time. Currently most of our clients are U.S. based, but many of our members present opportunities for fellow members that are flexible to all locations globally. It all varies depending on the day.

  • We don’t make any guarantees, and ultimately your success within CC is down to you. How you show up, how you engage with others in the community, how you offer to collaborate, how you pitch clients, how robustly you access and apply our resources and guidance, how you present your services to CC and to the world, and how you give back. Most of the paid opportunities secured by our members come through the community (partnering with fellow members). That’s the power of bringing 600+ independent professionals together.

  • Many of our members have full-time jobs and choose to freelance / consult on the side, or they’re exploring possibilities for the future (which is a very smart move). As long as you’re a proven professional in marketing, communications, or creative - you’re welcome here.
